Jabari Kenya

Jabari-Kenya is a youth empowerment initiative that deals with talent development and provision of positive activities for the youth. In partnership with other organizations and friends, Jabari-Kenya strives to create and provide social and economic development, support programs and community services that empower young people. In addition, Jabari-Kenya also works in collaboration with other like-minded organizations to share ideas, resources and advocacy for the youth.

We provide instruction in dance, playing musical instruments, aerobics, yoga and training on basic life skills. We have a library of novels which can be borrowed on rotational basis and a sit in book club held fortnightly. We organize trips with a bid to enhancing local tourism and for fun and relaxation purposes. Mentoring and life coaching is also offered for the youth. We also organize community service activities with a bid to create a sense of purpose among the youth. Unemployment among the youth is a huge problem which we try to combat. For young entrepreneurs in the arts, we market their wares and activities with a bid to promote their work and see them benefit financially. We hold activities where such talent can be exhibited and look for money making opportunities for them. We also provide remuneration for our instructors who get experience through working with us.

We are continually seeking resources to support our programs and projects. Volunteering or donations will go a long way in seeing us achieve our mandate. There is a wide range of volunteer activities available, from mentoring young members, training members improve their talents, advocacy and fundraising campaigns, which you can do from wherever you may live.
